As the most publicly visible ensemble of our band program, the Blackhawk Marching Band instills pride and an acheivement of excellence from our students.  The marching band teaches and demands the highest level of commitment, work ethic, teamwork and enthusiasm from its members.  With an experienced instructional staff, students have the opportunity to work with a collegiate team of instrumentalists.  Students who participate in this ensemble not only learn about music and marching, but gain life-long skills that will stay with them long past their high school years.  At 90 members, the 2016 marching band is as healthy as it has been in recent history.  The group represents the Leslie community with pride both at Varsity home football games and also on the road, traveling to the Grand Ledge Exhibition every year.
